I was tasked with designing a sophisticated feature for image search that allows users to select a specific color range and instantly return results of images within that colour tone. Additionally, the feature included functionality for users to refine their search by selecting different shades of the chosen colour. The goal was to enhance the platform’s search capabilities, making it easier for users – especially designers, marketers, and creatives – to find images that matched their exact colour requirements.
By focusing on the specific requirements of users who work with visual content, I was able to design a feature that not only met their needs but also provided a competitive advantage for the platform.

As the Product Designer I was responsible with solving the user problem of picking colours and images within the desired colour range on the app. I worked on the project from ideation to implementation and handover.

Users often struggled to find images that matched their specific colour requirements, which is crucial in fields like design, branding, and marketing. The existing search functionality did not allow for precise colour-based filtering, leading to frustration and inefficiency. The challenge was to design a user-friendly feature that could accurately filter images by colour and shade, enhancing the search experience without adding unnecessary complexity.
